Overview

For over a decade, our partner in Bali has been supporting impoverished communities in gaining access to clean water and healthcare services. Many villages struggle with limited access to safe water, relying on contaminated runoff from rice fields that becomes scarce during the dry season. This project seeks to work together with people from four villages throughout the Buleleng district, North Bali, where geographical barriers and financial limitations hinder access to clean water. Additionally, it includes training programs on infrastructure maintenance to ensure long-term sustainability.

Our partner collaborates closely with villagers who are eager to enhance their living conditions, ensuring strong local engagement in this sustainable initiative. Rather than implementing a one-size-fits-all solution, each approach is thoughtfully customised to address the unique needs of the community. By training local villagers, the community gains the skills necessary to independently sustain the infrastructure long term. Community members also actively participate by providing labor and contributing building materials, reflecting their genuine commitment to shaping a better future.
