At Entrust, our in-country partners are central to our mission. They are the experts—deeply embedded in their communities, with a profound understanding of local challenges, cultures, and opportunities. We are privileged to work alongside these dedicated individuals and organisations in some of the world’s most difficult and remote regions.
Rather than managing projects ourselves, we support our partners as they lead transformative development initiatives. We assist with planning, provide strategic advice, bring learning and knowledge from similar projects across the globe, and follow up on progress and outcomes. Our role is to encourage, equip, and advocate—not to direct. The day-to-day work is carried out by our partners, who are best placed to collaborate with local communities and drive sustainable change.
Our relationships are built on trust, transparency, and mutual accountability. We invest in these partnerships over time—through regular visits, ongoing communication, and bi-annual reporting. We listen, learn, engage, and when invited, we mentor and consult. We understand that working in complex environments—marked by poverty, corruption, civil unrest, and climate change—requires flexibility, resilience, and grace.
We celebrate our partners’ successes and stand with them through setbacks. We share in their joys and frustrations, and we are honoured to fund projects that bring hope and transformation to individuals and communities living in poverty and vulnerable to exploitation.
Visiting our partners is a cornerstone of our approach. These face-to-face interactions allow us to strengthen relationships, learn from them and understand their context, offer encouragement, and ensure that resources are being used effectively. Together, we work toward the best possible outcomes—driven by local leadership and global solidarity.
