Legacy of Hope

The story of Eugene Veith, Entrusts’ founder, is significant for many of our supporters. A man who built a successful business but lived simply and gave generously. He was driven by a motivation to make a difference in the lives of the poor.

During his lifetime, Eugene donated $23 million to global community development. Entrust Foundation was established shortly before he died, to empower others to do the same.

Since then, over $25 million has been stewarded through Entrust, funding life-changing projects in clean water, education, economic empowerment, ending slavery and more – reaching vulnerable communities across the globe.

Eugene was an ordinary man with an extraordinary impact. His Legacy continues to bring hope in hard places and serves as inspiration for those with financial means to leave the same sort of meaningful lasting legacy – a ‘Legacy of Hope’.

The Legacy of Hope Fund ensures Entrust can sustain the infrastructure, governance, strategic capacity, and trusted partnerships behind the impact, while donor support is directed to community development projects.
