Overview

In response to Friday’s devastating earthquake in Myanmar, our trusted local partners are in the hardest-hit areas delivering urgent care and support to those in desperate need. The death toll currently sits over 2000 with hundreds still missing. Buildings lie in ruin, roads are impassable, hospitals are overwhelmed and thousands of people are without, food, shelter or medical care. The situation is critical, and our partners are working tirelessly to reach survivors, provide emergency aid, and bring hope in the midst of this devastation.

Why support this

Myanmar and it's people were already struggling under incomprehensible hardship and now they face more death and destruction. It's hard for the world to get in to help but our local partners live and work in Myanmar. They know the needs and are best placed to provide immediate support. Entrust only undertakes emergency appeals when we have a long-term relationship with the local people delivering the support. To help those affected, our partners are distributing urgent relief packages to support families in crisis. Each package includes: *Mosquito net and sleeping mats for protection and rest *Emergency food & a cooking stove, as families have no way to prepare meals *Clean drinking water to prevent dehydration and disease *Solar power banks, as electricity remains unavailable across the cities
