Overview

Our implementing partner is committed to supporting vulnerable and marginalised communities in Laos, with a strong focus on helping individuals rebuild their lives from addiction. In the outskirts of Vientiane, they operate three care and rehabilitation centres, including a newly established Women and Children’s Centre designed to offer a safe, supportive environment for women and their families. The work of the centre is strengthened by providing holistic rehabilitation, emotional support, and practical vocational training for women seeking freedom from addiction. Our contribution to the project will fund local Lao staff salaries and key operational expenses for the coming year, while also supporting the centre’s efforts to grow its long-term sustainability.

Why support this

This project responds to community feedback from women who identified a strong need for a safe place to pursue rehabilitation and rebuild their lives. The Women’s Centre offers a supportive environment where women can heal, gain confidence and skills, and where children can grow in safety and stability. The centre is run entirely by local staff, many with their own lived experience of recovery, bringing deep understanding, empathy, and strong commitment to the women they serve.
