Overview
This project supports our partner's efforts to reach vulnerable and exploited children in the red-light districts and slum areas of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, where gangs, drugs, extreme poverty, and abuse are widespread. Our partner operates 42 established kids' clubs, providing a safe space for children at risk of sexual exploitation or those who have experienced abuse. To aid in their recovery, our partner integrated the innovative Creative Adventure Play (CAP) therapy program into their existing curriculum, working with abused and trafficked street children while engaging the local community to prevent further exploitation.
Why support this
Our partners dedicate time to building trusted relationships with children, providing a safe space for them to share their experiences. Their work focuses on restoring children to wholeness while also seeking justice against perpetrators. Using Creative Play Therapy techniques, they help children process their trauma, prepare for court testimony, and navigate the journey of restoration. Collaborating closely with the Cambodian government, they have achieved significant success. They are committed to long-term change by addressing the root causes of exploitation and by creating lasting solutions.
