Overview

This project builds on past initiatives supported by the Entrust Foundation to combat trafficking in Thailand. Through collaboration with Thai law enforcement, anti-trafficking organisations, and faith communities, it aims to address child trafficking in key hotspots. The project focuses on prevention campaigns targeting migrant children, rural villages, and schools in northern and eastern Thailand, as well as urban schools. It will fund outreach events and support three dedicated trafficking prevention staff. Additionally, efforts will be made to expand its online presence to counter traffickers' evolving methods of exploitation and coercion.

Why support this

During our 2023 visit, we were deeply impressed by the extensive experience and significant achievements of our implementing partner in trafficking prevention, rescue, and restoration. Their innovative plans and breakthroughs were particularly inspiring, demonstrating their comprehensive approach to tackling trafficking. This project seeks to expand their impactful prevention outreach efforts while also increasing their participation in government-run events. Their strong collaboration with the government and well-established reputation underscore their leadership in the fight against trafficking.

Budget

$40,000 for year 2 of a 3yr project. Total budget $120,000.
