Hot off the press! Read our 2023 Year in Review

“Let’s give it a try” – Richard Beaumont

December 2023

With Christmas nearly upon us, we wish you a peaceful time with family and friends and a relaxing holiday period. At the close of another incredible year serving the poor and disadvantaged, we are so thankful for your partnership. Concluding my role as CEO after 15 years, I consider the hundreds of thousands of people touched through your generosity, since we began. What a privilege to work with you while building trust with each of our partner organisations, helping them at their point of need. Thank you for the trust you have shown in us to deliver your generous donations in a way that will have the greatest impact and change lives, forever!

During our team’s multiple visits to Africa, India and Asia we have formed deep lasting, trusted relationships. This was highlighted in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand 3 weeks ago when we held our first Partners Leadership Retreat. 28 people, from 14 organisations came together from Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia. It was a wonderful reunion as we met for 4 days, supporting, training and learning from each other.

Entrust’s new CEO, Nikki Capp commenced on 2 October. We have run together in a relay race these last 10 weeks as Co-CEO’s. I was able to introduce Nikki to Entrust and many of our friends, partners and donors. I have now “let the baton go” and Nikki is officially CEO. I will continue as ‘Global Ambassador’ part time to nurture people and organisations – especially in Asia.

We value your on-going support and I want to assure you Entrust hasn’t changed – just the leader. Our committed team and Board remain. We recently appointed a third Project Manager, Shanta Parker, to share the load of supporting our 55 overseas partner organisations. This will enable us to help even more people as Entrust grows.

What am I going to do? Julie and I will be camping, sailing, and relaxing in January. I feel a little tired but have a deep sense of satisfaction for all we (this includes you) have been able to achieve over the past 15 years since we launched Entrust. “Let’s give it a try” was the sentiment expressed in 2008. I am so glad we did!

Wishing you a joy-filled Christmas, as we remember the birth of Jesus.
