Combatting Human Trafficking

Help us put a STOP to Human Trafficking

There are more children, women and men trapped in trafficking and slavery than ever before. Trafficking occurs when people are forced into exploitative situations for profit, such as forced labour, sexual exploitation, child brides, domestic servitude, and child soldiers. People are vulnerable to trafficking for a number of reasons, including lack of education and employment opportunities, discrimination and social isolation, and lack of protection by adults or social systems. Traffickers took advantage of the COVID 19 crisis, capitalising on peoples’ loss of income and lockdowns in communities.
