See our projects in Thailand

Established in the 13th century, Thailand has experienced political turmoil since 2005 including a military coup in 2006 that ousted the PM. Street protests were commonplace from 2008 – 2010 and continue today. The Royal Thai Army staged a coup against the government changing the constitution allowing the military to appoint the 250-member Senate. An election in March 2019, was disputed and viewed as skewed in favour of the military, allowed Gen Prayut to continue his premiership. Rural and urban poverty continues to be a challenge.
